As a child, Bruna understood how challenging it would be to achieve her dreams when her mother once said:
"My daughter, we live in a very small town of a country called Brazil. We are so far away from the actors you see in movies. They live in a place named Hollywood".
In tears, Bruna rolled over on the floor and cried for hours. Eventually, she looked deep into her mother's eyes and said:
"Mom, I'll have to leave."
In 2020 the Brazilian-born actress and comedian, Bruna Portugal, decided to search for new challenges in her career moving to America and becoming LA-based.
Throughout her career, Bruna acted in 6 theatre plays, played the lead role in 3 feature films and performed standup all over America, Within the years, she has also collected numerous different projects, such as short films, commercials, and modeling.
Bruna has an unwavering dedication to her art and always pursuits her self-improvement. She studied comedy and improv techniques with Suzanne Kent from The Groundlings, graduated from the New York Film Academy Acting for Film Conservatory and got an advanced Body Language Certificate from Théâtre du Soleil in France.
Bruna's career is nothing short of impressive. She has acted in numerous projects with Wolf Maya, one of Brazil's most prominent soap opera directors. Her work has been recognized, with one of the plays she performed in winning the Quality Art Awards for Best Musical Play. She recently took the stage at the Netflix is a Joke Festival to perform stand-up. The online comedy content produced and acted by her has garnered an impressive 15M views within a week.
